MINOCQUA, WISCONSIN

The gang's all here!
Anthony & Dominick watching minnows off of the pier.
Alayna's BIG fish (that she wouldn't touch)
Molly, our bikini model & sand castle designer
Devyn living life in the fast lane (actually, fast wake)
This is what Anthony did the ENTIRE vacation by the beach.
(Whistle) "Whooo Hooo...Hey there, pretty lady!"
Just by the looks of it, you can tell the kids had a fantastic time on vacation. For those of you who aren't familiar with Minocqua, WI, it is in Northern Wisconsin and is about 4-4 1/2 hours from our house. We stay in a cabin on a lake name Kawaguesaga. Out of 12 cabins, we (our family) over run 5 of them. Jon's sisters and in-laws are up there at the same time. The kids have their cousins up there to play with 24/7. The days were mostly consumed with building a sand community, playing Bratz, watching TV, swimming, jet skiing, and tubing. I also came up with a cool scavenger hunt for the girls. They said it wasn't as lame as they thought it would be. That made me feel better. Thanks, girls!
The boys spent a lot of time on the beach (at least 2-3 hrs total each day). It was a shocking surprise to us that they enjoyed the water and sand as much as they did since we didn't have much luck with the pools this year. If they had a shovel and something to catch the water, they were happy. Anthony also found a past time watching a teenage girl in her bikini. Every time she walked by, his jaw dropped along with the shovel and bucket he held. He also stared and followed her as she passed by. I think Dominick got a good look too. At least they have good taste! Dominick's past time was "catching" minnows with his bare hands, or so he tried. They also seemed to enjoy splashing & swimming.
That's it in a nutshell. The weather was beautiful and it was very relaxing. We did a lot of walking, playing, eating, and a little shopping downtown at the famous FUDGE factory. YUM! As you can tell, we survived the ride back, no one was hurt, and no children were left by the roadside! All in all, we enjoyed our vacation which was our 1st one as a family in 5 years. It was back to reality, which meant back to school & work.
